Sunday afternoon Tyler Vocks from Taylorville, Illinois took home a free entry into the Proprietor's Cup Megabuck Bowling event to be held July 14th & 15th at Beaver-Vu Bowl in Dayton, Ohio. Vocks defeated Chaz Brewer from Springfield, Missouri by a score of 234-184 to earn his $1,100 paid entry for the Proprietor's Cup.
In the semi-final match, Brewer defeated Roy Adams from Potosi, Missouri 236-204.
The participation was extremely low as only 6 bowlers showed Sunday morning for 6 games of qualifying. Bowlers competed on the 2009 USBC Junior Gold pattern which was just 35ft in length and played very difficult. Vocks led the field with 1163, with Adams qualifying 2nd with 1127, and Brewer 3rd with 1096.
Entries are still being taken for the inaugural Proprietor's Cup Megabuck tournament being held in Dayton, Ohio this July. For more information about the tournament, please visit their web site.
