Even though there were only 21 bowlers for the early morning squad in this year's Insidebowling.com Open, scores were high. George Gohagen III (Dayton, Ohio) who finished 2nd last year to Jake Peters leads the field at +191. In second, it's collegiate All American Brad Miller at +181. Third is PBA regional champion Michael Williams from Montgomery, Alabama at +179.
15 of the 21 bowler were plus. Shea Bittenbender offered some excitement during the first game by picking the 7-10 and he then finished the block with the high game of 289. Brad Miller also had 289.
Competition resumes at 12:30PM for B Squad which should yield a full field including 5 time US Open Champion Pete Weber.
